GIRAVENTO® produces its extra virgin olive oil first by harvesting the olive as soon as they ripe, manually; than, soon after, by transforming the fruits into olive paste with a grindstone; last, extracting the product by means of centrifugation (modern method) at law temperature. According to the Italian government that regulates the use of protected designation of origin (DOP) labels for olive oils in accordance with EU law, in Sannio Beneventano, a temporary designation was given and GIRAVENTO® is one of those producers that had such designation.
