Oro shows a beautiful golden yellow color with intense shimmer green, sky. To smell offers ample and elegant, with rich notes of unripe tomatoes and broad hints of herbs fresh vegetable field, which include mint and sage. The taste is fruity, enriched by complex known plants, with fresh vegetables, banana and apple in unripe closure. Bitter and spicy balanced and very determined.

 

Production area:

Sannio in the Benevento district.

Production locality:

Cerreto Sannita.

Olive cultivar:

80% of Ortice, Recioppella and Ortolana varieties. 20% of Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and other local varieties gathered at the start of the ripening process.

Extraction method:

Integral Continuous Cycle.

Filtering:

None.

Colour:

Intense yellow with light green reflections, slightly clouded.

Fruitiness:

Medium.

Aromatic overtones:

Fresh tomatoes, balsamic herbs, apples, almonds.

Flavour:

Sweet with a good bitter sharp balance. The olfactive sensations are confirmed at taste.

Tasting hints:

Well structured and harmonious, it goes nicely with a number of different dishes.
It can be used raw with boiled or grilled fish or as condiment for cooked and raw vegetables or mushroom salads.
It is ideal to provide the finishing touches to sauces, soups and crustaceans and to enhance the flavour of cooked sea food.

Producer

The Zamparelli Farm and Estate is located in the province of Benevento in the heart of the Sannio district, in the countryside around Cerreto Sannita. The ancient family palazzo houses the offices, the storage and packaging areas.
The Zamparelli Farm and Estate cultivates approximately 10 ha. of hilly land which is used exclusively for the cultivation of olive trees. The estate where the olive groves are cultivated is called “Le Cesine”. The land is gently inclined and faces south, at 270 to 315 meters above sea level. There are approximately 5,000 olive trees planted out in rows with planting template 6 x 3 and 5 x 4. The entire estate is equipped with drop irrigation system.
