In 1861, the barn of “Contrada Colli”, “Fontana Greca”, and the “Ferrarisi woodland” were, during daytime, the refreshment stand of brigands. Our farm stands in the heart of a triangle. Like area, from which the name of “Brigands’ Land” derives.
Brigands’ Land rises from our family tradition, always kept alive for generations have preserved the “cult of nature” and the love for “the fruits of the land”. The optimal solar exposure of the vineyards, as well as the slope of the hills and the small productivity for hectare, helps to obtain grapes that keep high quality and good flavours, giving an unique peculiarity to our wines. The complete cycle of production, from the raw materials to the finished product, is controlled, guaranteed, and certified from the “Soil and health” Agency/Institute in order to make controlled organic products.
Tasting note: Some bottles may seem confusing, as characterized by the acid strength, clothed by a mantle quite tannic but rather enriched by an alcoholic not indifferent. Instead, the raison d'ętre of some red, and you understand the reason for the survival of Aglianico despite the invasion of national and international grape varieties now rejected, and that in this border area is all the food. The predominant impact is robust and male, without mediation. The process is traditional: Most of the mass is steel, a 20 percent wood second step, then assembling the case.
Food Pairing: To pull from a pocket stuffed with lamb and a soup of beans and lightly worked very well.
