In 1861, the barn of “Contrada Colli”, “Fontana Greca”, and the “Ferrarisi woodland” were, during daytime, the refreshment stand of brigands. Our farm stands in the heart of a triangle. Like area, from which the name of “Brigands’ Land” derives.
Brigands’ Land rises from our family tradition, always kept alive for generations have preserved the “cult of nature” and the love for “the fruits of the land”. The optimal solar exposure of the vineyards, as well as the slope of the hills and the small productivity for hectare, helps to obtain grapes that keep high quality and good flavours, giving an unique peculiarity to our wines. The complete cycle of production, from the raw materials to the finished product, is controlled, guaranteed, and certified from the “Soil and health” Agency/Institute in order to make controlled organic products.
Tasting note: The peak of the wine is what we are incredibly impressed. The red spot on the label, which wants to remember the death of the brigand s on which the wine is dedicated. This wine is a red explosion: color, smells and tastes. To view the plot is more intense than the basic version, almost impenetrable, a demonstration of greater concentration. The range is stylish and olfactory long persistence: fruit and spices you add leather and chocolate. Beautiful texture to the palate too, where the glass exhibits all its beautiful fabric, very silky. By aging even if we do not resist and consume immediately.
Food Pairing: Abbuoti, prepared with the tripe of lamb "attorcinata" with casings of the same animal. Grilled.
