Torre Gaia Farm is located in the territory of Dugenta, in the central part of the ancient “Sannio Beneventano”, not far from Benevento, Caserta and Naples. This area has one of the oldest vineyarding and wine-producing traditions in Campania. Particularly, the winery has more than one hundred years of history, and so its activity is founded on a solid experience. It was estabilished at the beginning of ‘900 by Federico Perlingieri and is specialized in the viticultural field. The farm is located on a hillock from where Torre Gaia, an ancient tower, dominates over the 113- hectare estate which swepts from the valley up to the mountains. First among campanian business of the sector for extension, it’s famous for the high quality of the production. Moreover, the farm benefits from an excellent geographical position and so it’s easily reachable. Torre Gaia is considered the “Gate of Sannio on the wine road”, surely the leader of wine business in Benevento area and one of the most important business in Campania. In the last years, the farm has been characterized by an extraordinary development and surely in the future it will still grow up.

Tasting note: Certainly the best expression of this robust blend in Campania and throughout the South The wine is a ruby red with garnet hues. The fabulous 1990 vintage, which has the hand of the same wine, a perfect balance between softness and freshness, the fragrance developed tertiaries. It has a taste that no winks to the mode of wine ready to drink and does not have an aggressive use of wood. Done without haste to the old way and only in the best vintages. A wine aged for two years in oak barrels and one year in bottle.

Food Pairing:  I recommend an absolute or a great kid and spicy grilled roasted slowly. Well on Laticauda pecorino.
